Sajama National Park is located in the southwest area of Oruro in the Curaguara Carangas province in full mountain range West of the Andes, the Sajama National Park is 6,542 meters above sea level. Sharing an attraction of the altiplano with the Parinacota and the Pomerape volcanoes, also called the Payachatas range. These three large volcanoes are very close to each other.
The National Park is protected by the richness of its fauna and flora and comprises an area of approximately 200,000 hectares.
The economy of the population of the Sajama National Park and Caripe is based on Andean camelids such as child-rearing: Alpacas and llamas and the project management of the vicuña is a tool of productive, economic and social development which consists of sustainable commercial exploitation of the fiber of the vicuña by the farming community of the altiplano Aymara, in order to increase their income.
Lauca National Park is located in the commune of Putre, this park was established in 1970 with an area of 137,883 hectares, the Lauca National Park is part of the network world of biosphere reserves, in the Park it is possible to admire the volcanoes that exceed the 6 thousand meters above the sea level, which include the volcanoes ParinacotaPomerape, Guallatire and Acotango.
The main objective of the National Park is to protect its rich fauna, since it houses nearly a third of the species of birds in the country and is the natural habitat of vizcachas, alpacas, llamas and vicuñas, the Park is the beautiful Lake Chungará one of the highest in the world, is 4,517 m of altitude and gaps Cotacotani (a set of several lakes within a field of lava),
Day 01: LA PAZ - CHULLPAS - CHURCH OF CURAHUARA DE CARANGAS - SAJAMA
08:00am pick up from the hotel in the city of La Paz and private transport to go to Sajama National Park, on our tour we pass through the Highlands through the town of Patacamaya until reaching Sajama village, en route we will visit the chullpas (funerary - pre-Columbian tombs), continuing the journey we will visit the colonial church of Carangas Curahuara regarded as the "Chapel Sistine of the Highlands" due to the quality of works of art found in the interior as the paintings that fill the walls and several frescoes represent scenes Bible, after the visit we will continue to the Valley of the rocks a place with strange rock formations and in the afternoon we will be arriving at the Sajama village for lunch.
Afternoon we will go to the hot springs for a healthy and natural bath then we will have an overnight in the village of Sajama Included: Private transport, entrance fees, lunch, dinner, accommodation in Sajama village
Day 02: WALK TO THE GEYSERS - TAMBO QUEMADO - CHUNGARA - NATIONAL PARK LAUCA - CHILE.
This day we have a very early start we walk for an hour and a half until the reaching the geysers enjoying the beautiful scenery of the snowy peaks that surround the National Park as well as the snow-covered two twin "Parinacota" and "Pomerape", you'll also see to the Andean camelids such as alpacas and llamas, arrival at the geysers we appreciate the vaporization of the fumaroles. Later we return to Sajama to continue in our transport to the border of Tambo Quemado and Chungara "migration" and will continue with a visit to the Lauca National Park via the Cotacotani lagoon, the village of Parinacota, Chucullo Bofedales, Chucullo viewpoint and hiking in the the caves, then we will head to Jurasi hot springs before moving to the town of Putre and having an overnight in a hotel.

Day 03: PUTRE - VICUÑAS NATIONAL RESERVE AND SALAR DE SURIRE - ARICA / LA PAZ.
After breakfast we take private transport to the national reserve the Vicuñas, where contrasts of colors and wildlife make it unique. The vicuña national reserve and Salar de Surire holds herds of llamas and alpacas, birds such as the Suri or Rhea and thousands of mariguanas (pink flamingos) of the three species that exist in the Highlands located at 4200 m.a.s.l. En route we will find the Guallatire village at the foot of the volcano the village of Chilcaya and the most spectacular place in the area, Salar de Surire, guarded by snow-capped volcanoes. In the trip we see a lot of flamingos then we will visit the hot springs of Polloquere where we can take a thermal bath, ending our visit will continue to Arica or for people who wish to return to the city of La Paz will cross the border Chile - Bolivia and continue our journey for approximately 4 hours until you reach La Paz.
